The mission of the Tennessee Retail Association is to represent the interests of its members before the government of Tennessee.

The Tennessee Retail Association:

• Monitors all legislative activity affecting the retail industry in Tennessee.  The TRA solicits members’ input on legislative matters and shares that information with policymakers at the State Capitol.

• Advocates on behalf of its members not only on legislation that directly impacts retailers, but supports public policy that strengthens the state’s business climate while opposing any attempts to weaken business and industry in Tennessee.

• Serves as a resource for members on regulatory matters.  The TRA tracks and participates in state regulatory actions.  The TRA assists members with concerns or questions regarding regulatory issues.

• Supports candidates at the state level through the Tennessee Retail Association Political Action Committee.
